Why not take a quick trip (thanks Internet!) to Paris, the ultimate muse for all things stylish? Here's our selection of six quintessentially Parisian hotels to give you some interior design inspiration.
Hotel Henriette, 9 Rue des Gobelins, 75013 Paris
We love the 50 Shades of Blues used at Hotel Henriette. The walls are covered in textured palm prints which are a great contrast with the high gloss paint.
Hotel Panache, 1 Rue Geoffroy-Marie, 75009 Paris, France
Here's where you go for the ultimate dose of mid century luxe. They've used wallpaper to create cosy bedrooms and little nooks throughout the hotel. This is a good example of wallpaper being less a feature and more about adding the smaller geometric print into the mix with other colours and textures in the bedhead, cushions and chairs. Add a little gold for a touch of glam.
Hotel Montana, 28 Rue Saint-Benoît, 75006 Paris, France
Oh, we love this hotel for it's over the top surrealist fantasy! Hotel Montana used to be a popular Parisian jazz club in the 1950's and ever since then well known musicians, artists and designers have made this their place to hang. The designer Vincent Darré has created the ultimate rock'n'roll hideaway, the walls murals are bold whimsical art.
“Wherever you travel in the world, hotels always have the same decoration, so I wanted this to feel like you are actually in Paris,” says Darré. “Like an eccentric friend gave you a key to his apartment.”
Hotel Providence, 90 Rue René Boulanger, 75010 Paris
Sigh. We want to live in this hotel, and bounce from room to room. This is what we call a full wallpaper takeover! By doing all the walls the rooms are immersive and otherworldly.
