How to use white wallpaper

White wallpaper is rarely plain white; it is a white ground carrying a line drawing, a small pattern or a texture, and the ground is what to check. Cool white sits with grey floors and white trim; ivory and chalk are warmer and kinder in rooms with little sun. A pattern on white keeps a small room light and is the easiest way to add interest without colour, and a white grasscloth or plaster finish gives a bedroom quiet depth. Look at the sample next to your existing white paint, because two whites side by side will show their difference.
