Small butterflies drift across a soft, textile-like ground, light enough to feel like movement rather than pattern. The design is drawn from a 19th-century embroidered Chinese silk from Canton, and it carries that quality of something handmade and quietly aged.

About this design
- Movement without noise: the butterflies are scattered rather than regimented, so walls feel alive but calm.
- Small-scale pattern: works in rooms where a large repeat would overwhelm — hallways, powder rooms, nurseries.
- Three grounds, three moods: sand beige for warmth, misty blue for softness, vivid green for confidence.
- Half-drop repeat at 53cm: forgiving to hang and easy to plan around.
Colourways
- Sandstone — pink and brown butterflies on a sand beige base.
- Misty Blue — blue, brown and red butterflies on a misty blue ground.
- Green — white, red and pink butterflies on a vivid green base.
Listed by Sandberg as a 100% non-toxic product, printed with inks and pigments Sandberg select to be “non-toxic and harmless”.
Designed by Karolina Kroon for Sandberg, part of the Chinoiserie Garden collection.
