Långelid/von Brömssen is a Swedish wallpaper studio founded in 2018 by the designers Emma von Brömssen and Daniel Långelid, and every design is drawn by the two of them. The subjects come almost entirely from the garden and the birds in it: herons, cockatoos and duck ponds, peonies, delphiniums, primulas and ginkgo, with the occasional detour into a grape thief or a hare in hiding. Wallpaper Trader stocks 52 designs, all on 53 cm rolls, from $269. Every design is available as a $10 A4 sample, with $5 postage within Australia.

About Långelid/von Brömssen

Emma and Daniel are close friends brought together by a shared love of pattern history, and the studio combines traditional craft with a contemporary eye. Every roll is printed locally in western Sweden at Ulricehamns Tapetfabrik using two old techniques: rotary screen printing, where ink is pushed through a cylindrical mesh screen, and surface printing, where thick ink is laid on with engraved rollers. The studio states that it uses water-based inks on non-woven backing from PEFC accredited sources.

What we stock and how it is sold

All 52 designs are 53 cm wide on 10.05 m rolls, non-woven and paste-the-wall, from $269 a roll. The repeat and match are on every product page; several of the garden designs, including Hiding Hares and Oak Tree Tails, are a 64 cm half-drop. Blue and green run through most of the range, with pinks and yellows in the florals.

The designs to know

Hiding Hares, the hare-in-the-meadow design first drawn for Emma's own label, remains the most ordered design across both her collections. The Voyage collection, added in 2026, brings sailing boats and coastal motifs; the Trellis designs and the heron and cockatoo papers are the ones interior designers specify for dining rooms and powder rooms.
