Ranold is a classic tartan check from Swedish design house Sandberg, drawn by Studio Sandberg for the Sandberg Heritage collection. The woven-plaid lines are printed with a soft, slightly textile hand, so the pattern reads like cloth on the wall rather than a flat grid. Available in seven considered colourways.

About this design
- A true heritage check from Sandberg Heritage, the house’s archive-led collection.
- Refined textile feel — the check has the softness of woven cloth, not a hard printed line.
- Easy to hang: paste-the-wall non-woven with a washable, non-reflective top coat.
- Excellent colour light fastness (>6–8 on the Blue Wool scale) and a spongeable surface. 100% non-toxic.
Styling notes
- Check reads as a neutral at a distance — it will sit happily behind furniture and art.
- Beautiful in a study, dining room or entry, where a little formality is welcome.
- Charcoal wraps a room for drama; Beige and Light Blue keep it quiet and liveable.
