How to use beige wallpaper
Beige is the background colour, and in wallpaper the interesting beiges are the textured ones: grasscloth, linen weaves, plaster finishes and small tone-on-tone patterns that give a wall depth without asking for attention. Warm beige suits cream trim and timber; the cooler greiges suit white trim and grey floors. Beige also hides marks better than white, which is why it is the sensible choice for hallways and family rooms. Pattern on beige should be quiet; save the big motifs for a coloured ground.
